Denise's Story
In 2002, Denise was at a crossroads. After a decade in banking, she was unemployed, disillusioned, and in the middle of a difficult relationship. A single astrology consultation didn't solve everything, but it gave her clarity and hope.
With a clearer understanding of her own birth chart, she changed careers and built a stronger sense of self-worth. That experience lit a fire.
What followed was a career defined by service. Denise moved from financial advisor to registered nurse, then into education and leadership. Through it all, she guided people through change — from birth to death and everything in between. She has spent her professional life in rooms where people need someone steady, knowledgeable, and genuinely present.
In astrology, she found a framework that could hold all of it: the drive to serve, the need to lead, and the quieter work of honoring herself.
Education & Training
Denise's approach is grounded in both rigorous education and sustained practice.
After many years of self-study, Denise met Samuel Reynolds and completed his four Nitty Gritty astrology classes. She holds a practitioner's certificate in Horary Astrology and studied Astronomy for Astrologers at the School for Traditional Astrology. She works within the Western Tropical zodiac, blending ancient and modern techniques to meet each client where they are.
Since 2020, she has led the New Orleans Astrology group, hosting monthly gatherings. She is Senior Editor of The Evolving Astrologer, the magazine of the Organization for Professional Astrology (OPA). She is also a member of the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR). Her writing has appeared at Astro.com and The Astrologers Co-op.
Her formal education includes two Bachelor of Science degrees (Economics and Nursing), a Master of Science in Nursing, and a PhD in Nursing Education and Administration. She is a Registered Nurse with a specialty certification in nursing professional development
