Venus is the ruler of two signs, Taurus and Libra. Taurus is a fixed Earth sign, slower-paced, with a focus on sensual, physical delights. My Sun lands in Libra, cardinal Air, with greater emphasis on mental connection and social pursuits. With a Sun-Uranus conjunction, I sometimes take great pleasure in eccentric people and pursuits. There’s plenty of opportunity for that in New Orleans.

Like the other Air signs (Gemini & Aquarius), Libra indicates locations that are high above the ground in horary astrology. It may be at a high elevation or simply higher than the surroundings. Think fresh air and light, broad horizons.
Inside a building, Libra placements are the upper parts of rooms, such as high shelves or areas near the top of the house. As with outdoor settings, think air and light! Libra locations are near windows or other light sources, such as lamps. Water fountains are also assigned to Libra.

Libra differs from the other Air signs in specific associations, although there can be a bit of crossover with Gemini, with playrooms and places of enjoyment or gaming. Generally, Libra is associated with more adult play, while Gemini is more youthful. Locations such as fine-dining restaurants, theaters, museums, galleries, and concert halls are Libran in nature. Bars? Maybe.
Additionally, Libra locations are those with textiles such as clothing, draperies, and linens. That might include closets, cabinets, and wardrobes. It definitely includes beds and draperies.

A jewelry box would also be a Libra spot, and any place where you might find traditionally “women’s things.”

In the body, Libra’s primary associations are the lower back, waist, and kidneys. It also influences the ovaries and the ureters (tubes that carry urine from the kidneys). The ovaries, ureters, and kidneys are all organs that come in pairs, emphasizing the idea of balance and symmetry. Judith Hill writes, “Libra plays a role in all balances: hormonal, electrolyte, sodium-potassium, blood pressure, and mental.”

This makes sense from a physiologic perspective, because the kidneys play a significant role in homeostasis. The kidneys filter blood, helping to remove waste and excess fluid from the body to regulate blood pressure. Like the gut, kidney health is intricately linked to overall function.

Next up, Scorpio! Only two more signs until the 12 Holy Nights project is complete for this year.
XOXO,
