It’s striking how synchronicities start stacking up once you commit to a symbolic journey. As I write about Aries, I’m sitting in my parents’ house on the top of a hill, dog on my lap, watching the neighbor burn brush.
How does this bring the sign of Aries to life? Read on, my friend.

Like Capricorn, Aries is a cardinal sign. Planets here take initiative and start things. Where Capricorn moves Earth, Aries moves Fire.
Places near heat or fire are represented by Aries, as well as sandy or hilly ground and isolated areas. It’s linked to an Eastward direction in Lilly’s horary astrology text.

If you’re looking for an object, Aries-associated places include roof coverings, ceilings, plaster and walls in general. Iron and ironwork are another corresponding feature.
Why dogs? Aries is traditionally ruled by the planet Mars, and dogs are Martial, as is the color red.

Linking Aries to the human body, it’s primarily the head—with eyes, teeth, jaw, and adrenal glands. The arteries are also associated with Aries, highways of the cardiovascular system.

I’m having fun with the 12 Holy Nights. It’s a great reason to cull through old travel photos, and connect to what’s around me right now with the symbolism of the Zodiac. Hope you’re enjoying it too!
XOXO,
Denise
